Finding a sense of spatial security: cabins, lodges and chalets provide us with the opportunity to get away from it all, to withdraw from the everyday hustle and bustle. A simple piece of cloth elegantly covers our nakedness, a trophy communicates all the positive feelings of the moment it was awarded. Rooted in the security of the familiar, design nevertheless obliterates the forms, and opens up spaces that are both familiar and new.
